15 Rock Profile
Ooo, looky, I'm on a roll.

These are from the British television show "Rock Profile." I know absolutely nothing about it, except that a "Best Of" featurette is included on my "Little Britain: Series 1" DVD set & it's funny & I wanted to cap/iconize it. I also know that it stars Matt Lucas & David Walliams (of LB fame, which is why it's on the DVDs) & some guy called Jamie Theakston. And I know it's all about them dressing up as & making fun of music peoples, many of whom I've never heard of. So, hey, maybe I know a lot. Kind of.

Again, these are from the "Best Of," & feature ABBA, Shirley Bassey, Blur, George Michael, Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Steps, & U2. Er, that is, not the real ones. Just Matt & Dave dressed up. (Which is just as good or better?)

    Blur, Shirly & Tom, Steps & U2 are all my FAVOURITE eps.

    Especially Damon's song that isn't really about anyone :P

    You are very welcome. Sorry that I can't do more of these, I'm in the US so the only Rock Profile I get comes from the Little Britain DVDs (& we've only got Series 1 released over here so far). What I saw I loved though, I wish I could see more.

    Aw that's cool. I hope Rock Profile gets a release over there soon :D
    I know i'll get shot by MANY crazy LB fans for this but i always preferred it over LB - it's THAT great :D

    My only problem with RP is that it's very British so I haven't heard of many of the bands (particularly the boybands). But I can still appreciate it. Especially if I saw MORE of it. Those with cable are lucky to get great British shows on BBC America, but their schedule is completely random so you may fall in love with something & only get to see it once! And then they never release anything on DVD. It's difficult being an Anglophile in America. :(

    That's true, i didn't think of that! Trouble i guess is all those bands are really / were really big here at some point. Have you thought of saving for a multi region player or something? I'm doing that at the mo' because for some insane reason the US tends to have better extras on certain britcom dvds, and they have all the pythons while we only have a best of box set :( it's still good but i want it all really :P

    I have been thinking a lot lately about getting a multi-region, because they're not nearly as expensive as I thought they'd be. I'm just apprehensive about how much the actual DVDs would cost, what with converting to US dollars & then shipping them all the way over here... Plus I don't know how to buy things priced in pounds online when my debit card is in dollars... Very confusing. But there are so many British shows I love that I know will never be released here, so if I can figure it out, it's probably worth it.

    Yeah, shipping & stuff is a downside... i dunno about the converting either, my sister buys from the US and says it's done automatically, but it'd still confuse me :P hehehe.
    Very much worth looking into though, me thinks!

    I am stealing 2, 3, 13 and 15 thank u so much they are fantastic! And caz_smash u know I agree Rock Profile (in my humble opinion) is far superior to Little Britain but its all good really!

    These are brilliant! I have only seen the best of on the LB series 2 dvd but i'm planning on getting Rock Profile on dvd. I'm taking them all but my absolute favourite is #8, it's just so David. Congrats on some great icons, i shall credit of course.

    Just FYI, Jamie Theakston used to be on a british kiddies show called Blue Peter, then he left with some controvery and got on Top of the Pops, which is why ML & DW chose him for their interviewer, it's sightly more realistic.
    There's your useless info for the day!!

    I love the icons, taking 8, 13 & 14. Ta!
